A revised warrant can be seen at the Winn Post Office, the Winn General Store and the Winn Town Office.
We will try  to meet all the requirements set down by the State for meetings and keeping everyone safe. People are asked to wear a mask and chairs will be spaced at 6’ apart.

PUBLIC HEARING AND BUDGET ADOPTION MEETING

The Millinocket Town Council will hold the following meetings to consider the budget of the Town:
THURSDAY,  July  9,  2020  -  Public  Hearing  and  Adoption  Meeting on the Fiscal 2021 school budget beginning at 4:30 PM in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building located at 197 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, Maine.

CHANGE OF SERVICE AREA

Howland Fire and Ambulance has submitted an application to the State of Maine Emergency Medical Services. This application is to allow the Howland Fire and Ambulance to expand primary transporting emergency medical service area to include: The Town of Burlington, Township of Grand Falls,T4ND, T3ND,T40MD and T41MD with an effective start date of July 1, 2020. The public should still call 9-1-1 for all emergencies. Public may make comments by mail to Maine EMS, 152 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC SALE OF REAL ESTATE
TITLE 14 M.R.S.A. § 6323

    By virtue of and in execution of the Judgment of Foreclosure and Sale entered in Maine District Court – Millinocket on April 29, 2020, entered in Docket # LINDC-RE-2020-002 brought by Eloise J. Boss against Marcia L. Vertefeuille, Personal Representative of the Estate of Joseph Andrew Fabian, Jr., Defendant, for the foreclosure of the Defendant’s interest in a Land Installment Contract, dated August 1, 2014, a Memorandum of which is recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in Book 13608, Page 47, the redemption period having expired without redemption, Notice is hereby given that the premises, all and singular, described in said Land Installment Contract (hereinafter referred to as the “Property”) shall be sold at public sale. Said Property is located at 34 Maple Street, East Millinocket, Penobscot County, Maine. The public sale shall be held at the Law Offices of Tanous & Snow, LLC, 143 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, Maine on July 13, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
    PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Certain property situated at 34 Maple Street, East Millinocket, Penobscot County, Maine. Reference should be had to said Memorandum of Land Installment Contract for a more detailed legal description of the property to be conveyed.     TERMS OF SALE: The Property shall be sold by public sale to the highest bidder who shall pay a deposit of Five Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) in U.S. funds, in cash or by bank draft or certified check made payable to Tanous & Snow Real Estate Trust Account. To the successful bidder, the deposit shall be non-refundable and will be credited to the purchase price. The successful bidder for the Property shall be required to sign a Purchase and Sale Agreement with said Eloise Boss at the conclusion of the sale. The balance of the purchase price shall be due and payable in U.S. funds, in cash, or in a bank draft or certified check made payable to Tanous & Snow Real Estate Trust Account, no later than 30 days after the sale. The Property shall be conveyed by Quitclaim Deed without Covenant, without Warranties.
The property shall be sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” without any warranty whatsoever, expressed, implied or otherwise. The property will be sold subject to utility easements and rights of way of record and utility easements and rights of way that are visible on the face of the earth. Eloise Boss and her agents make no representations or warranties with respect to the accuracy of any statement as to the boundaries or acreage or as to any other matters contained in any description of the Property, or as to the fitness of the Property for any particular purpose, merchantability, habitability or as to any other matter. The sale shall be subject to any condition which a title search would reveal, any unpaid taxes or assessments due to the State of Maine and any facts which an accurate survey of the property might show.
