TOWN OF LINCOLN

The Town of Lincoln is accepting bid proposals for a culvert replacement project located on the Sweet Road.  Job specifications may be obtained from the Public Works Department located at 7 Park Avenue. A site visit can be arranged by calling the Public Works office at 207-794-6658 Monday thru Thursday 6:30AM -5:00 PM. The deadline for submitting a proposal is June 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.

Howland Fire and Ambulance has submitted an application to the State of Maine Emergency Medical Services. This application is to allow the Howland Fire and Ambulance to expand primary transporting emergency medical service area to include: The Town of Burlington, Township of Grand Falls,T4ND, T3ND,T40MD and T41MD with an effective start date of July 1, 2020. The public should still call 9-1-1 for all emergencies. Public may make comments by mail to Maine EMS, 152 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333.

    By virtue of and in execution of the Judgment of Foreclosure and Sale entered in Maine District Court – Millinocket on April 29, 2020, entered in Docket # LINDC-RE-2020-002 brought by Eloise J. Boss against Marcia L. Vertefeuille, Personal Representative of the Estate of Joseph Andrew Fabian, Jr., Defendant, for the foreclosure of the Defendant’s interest in a Land Installment Contract, dated August 1, 2014, a Memorandum of which is recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in Book 13608, Page 47, the redemption period having expired without redemption, Notice is hereby given that the premises, all and singular, described in said Land Installment Contract (hereinafter referred to as the “Property”) shall be sold at public sale. Said Property is located at 34 Maple Street, East Millinocket, Penobscot County, Maine. The public sale shall be held at the Law Offices of Tanous & Snow, LLC, 143 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, Maine on July 13, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
    PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Certain property situated at 34 Maple Street, East Millinocket, Penobscot County, Maine. Reference should be had to said Memorandum of Land Installment Contract for a more detailed legal description of the property to be conveyed.     TERMS OF SALE: The Property shall be sold by public sale to the highest bidder who shall pay a deposit of Five Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) in U.S. funds, in cash or by bank draft or certified check made payable to Tanous & Snow Real Estate Trust Account. To the successful bidder, the deposit shall be non-refundable and will be credited to the purchase price. The successful bidder for the Property shall be required to sign a Purchase and Sale Agreement with said Eloise Boss at the conclusion of the sale. The balance of the purchase price shall be due and payable in U.S. funds, in cash, or in a bank draft or certified check made payable to Tanous & Snow Real Estate Trust Account, no later than 30 days after the sale. The Property shall be conveyed by Quitclaim Deed without Covenant, without Warranties.

The property will be sold subject to utility easements and rights of way of record and utility easements and rights of way that are visible on the face of the earth.
